Position Title: Sales Manager
Status: Exempt
Department: Enterprise Solutions
Reports to: Vice President, Sales
Location: Mission, KS/ Remote
PURPOSE/GOALS
This position will be responsible for managing a team of business development professionals. This position will develop territory and individual sales plans, establishing goals and benchmarks to ensure success within their team to support each in client acquisition and new business/revenue growth. The successful incumbent in this role will achieve growth and hit sales goal by successfully developing and managing the day-to-day efforts of a sales team.
Responsibilities
- Manages all sales activity to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and revenue targets.
- Designs and implements sales tactics aligned with the VP of Sales strategic sales plan that maximizes existing relationships while building a prospecting plan to identify and efficiently harvest new business.
- Focus on Enterprise strategies that include all solutions of the business.
- Partner with VP of Sales on strategy for growth.
- Define the sales processes that drive desired sales outcomes and identify improvements where and when required.
- Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasting.
- Drive standard work to funnel management process in Salesforce.
- Provide the direction, leadership, coaching, and mentoring for direct sales consultants. Advance the professional development, professional conduct, sales effectiveness and efficiency of the Sales team.
- Recruit, develop and train a Sales team with clearly communicated sales and overall performance goals.
- Develop, solidify, and maintain high level relationships with key accounts in each territory. Foster the concept of reference account relationships.
- Partner closely with the Marketing department to establish successful ES campaigns, reference programs and continued market awareness
- Partner with Marketing and Content to develop and improve Sales collateral to achieve success.
- Works with the VP of Sales, CFO and CEO to establish overall departmental and individual FY sales and revenue targets.
- Provides daily oversight of sales progress with reporting on weekly, monthly and overall goals.
- Oversees all account/territory assignments.
- Reviews market analyses to determine customer needs, volume potential, price schedules, and discount rates, and develops sales campaigns in partnership with the VP of Sales, Operations, and Marketing.
- Leads by example through a strong work ethic.
- Builds and promotes strong, long-lasting customer relationships by visiting and partnering with them and understanding their needs.
- Works with team members when required to develop team and help close business, as needed.
- Represents company at industry association meetings to promote SkillPath and Enterprise Solutions.
- Acts as liaison between Sales and other departments.
- Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Works within Salesforce to monitor effective/efficient use and ensure business unit performs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIREMENTS
Education
- BS degree in Communications, Marketing, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited college or university (or years of experience in lieu of degree).
Experience
- 3-5 years of successful experience as a sales manager, consistently meeting or exceeding targets.
- Experience utilizing a CRM is a must; Salesforce experience highly preferred.
- Position is located at Corporate office in Mission, KS; virtual/remote work may be an option for this role with prior approval from CEO and leaders of Sales and HR.

Physical Requirements
This is largely a sedentary role; however, some filing is required. This would require the ability lift up to 25lbs.
Though travel is not required at this time, it may resume at some future point but not expected to exceed 30%.
