Sales Engineers are responsible for satisfying the needs of those about to become customers to maximise their experience with SOTI products. This includes providing technical support, generating revenue through net new customer acquisition and add-on sales, enabling partners, training them, and following up on existing support cases as needed. This position demands that one maintains a high level of customer service through all interactions as a SOTI representative and consistently engage with the sales team to identify revenue opportunities.
What You Will Do:
- Develop and grow revenue through consultative selling with clients and prospects, presenting a warm, professional, well-spoken, and caring persona as an effective representative of SOTI.
- Provide email and telephone-based presales technical support for our software products.
- Perform production demonstrations that articulate the business and technical value of SOTI solutions.
- Collaborating with the regional sales team consultatively with clients/stakeholders. Helping them to envision the possibility of mobility.
- Educate on and facilitate SOTI solutions that can effectively address business and technical outcomes, positioning business value to customer organisations decision-makers.
- Present the solution architecture, including all technical aspects of the product and supporting systems.
- Provide pre-sales technical support, installing and configuring enterprise software solutions during POC for prospective customers.
- Communicate with internal product development teams to resolve product issues & generate recommendations for product roadmaps (feature requests).
- Assist with the execution of internal team projects and initiatives.
Experience You Will Bring
- Minimum of 3-5 years of work experience with experience related to mobile device management solutions and enterprise mobility (Android, iOS, Linux, Windows), BYOD, SaaS
- Prior experience working in a technical customer-facing role. Ideally, as a pre-sales / sales engineer.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with demonstrated ability to communicate the complexities of technical programs.
- Knowledge of computer networking principles (DNS, IP network, Firewalls, etc.).
- Knowledge of Single Sign-On (SSO), Identity Application Management (IAM), Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML), the Identity provider (Idp),
- Knowledge of certificate authorities, certificate management & distribution, and encryption methodologies (SHA1/2, TLS, etc.).
- Knowledge of Active Directory, LDAP protocol, and identity management systems.
- Understanding and experience with Databases (i.e., MSSQL Server, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.).
- Understanding and/or knowledge of business processes & sales cycle
- Knowledge of containerization and virtualisation.
- Work autonomously with minimum supervision.
- Able to plan, prioritise and organise workload, consistently working within service standards and agreed objectives.
- Native Japanese and strong business English
Nice to Have
- Cisco Certified Network Associate or equivalent.
- Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist (MCTS) - Exchange or equivalent experience.
- Understanding or knowledge of Cloud Computing or certification like AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate.
- Android Enterprise Professional.
- Any formal sales training, such as value selling, SPIN, or Miller Heiman.
- Understanding of REST APIS and coding (i.e., JavaScripting, HTML, etc.)
- Experience with customer service / Incident management software.
