Summary

Position Summary: 


Seeking a naturally outgoing and vibrant sales professional with a strong background in customer success strategy implementation. We need someone to nurture and optimize our sales funnel, and to drive enrollment for upcoming new programs. This will begin as a part-time role focused on our private lessons program, and will expand to full-time within 90 days as we bring programs on-line. You will report directly to 7DC’s Executive Director, and also work closely with our Lessons Manager, Marketing Director, and Community Programs & Partnerships Director.


Job Description:


Core Competencies needed for this role:


  • Direct sales experience (3+ years) specifically selling products and/or services direct to consumers and managing a sales pipeline. Relevant educational background or equivalent training is expected.
  • Advanced time management, planning, execution, and organizational skills
  • Detail-oriented, thorough, communicative, responsive, warm, engaging, and reliable
  • Ability to design and champion a successful sales campaign and juggle multiple priorities, projects, and timelines
  • Able to work and execute projects independently while being highly collaborative.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and oral, and ease interfacing with a wide array of audiences
  • Analytical skills to identify trends and sales patterns
  • Some leadership qualities to guide other staff in improving
  • Background in music, community, education, or creative spaces a significant plus


Core Responsibilities:


Manage the private lessons sales pipeline


  • Optimize 7DC’s website landing pages and oversee calls to action
  • Convert new inquiries to intros and enrollments via phone calls, text, email, and in-person meetings, using the Opus1.io prospects pipeline tool
  • Track and organize leads in each stage. Follow up using an established formula of contacting, making contact logs, communicating with the team
  • Meet new students in-person on days you are at the studio – give welcome tours, perform enrollments conversations, and get clients excited to grow


Plan and execute on filling slots for new group class programs and masterclasses


  • Develop pricing and policy strategy with the Executive Director and other stakeholders to help drive enrollments in new programs
  • Work alongside the Marketing Director and other relevant leadership to build sales and marketing campaigns to fill spots in new and established programs
  • Leverage CRM banks to locate and contact target customers for each program


Analyze KPIs and improve student retention


  • Collect and analyze lesson KPIs and present to and work with Lessons Team to identify trends across lessons enrollment, pauses and stops, and retention
  • Analyze student retention metrics and collaborate with the Lessons Team and instructors to develop a program to maximize retention


Develop a sales capture strategy to grow 7DrumCity and collaborate across teams to implement


  • Apply previous sales experience to generate and pursue new leads and develop promotional strategies to grow enrollment and participation across 7DC programs
  • Collaborate across teams to develop and implement promotional campaigns to drive sales
  • Work with the Finance and Marketing teams to develop a sales budget and support tracking and analysis of sales spending
  • Work with the Marketing team to update the website as necessary


Availability Requirements:


  • 20 hrs/wk to begin, focused on private lessons portfolio, growing to 32-35 hrs/wk within 90 days as we begin to launch campaigns and new programming
  • During initial 20 hr/wk period: 7DC operates 7 days a week. Hours are somewhat flexible (within 7DC’s normal working times) and will be determined with and approved by Supervisor. Plan to be available for work up to 5 days/wk, at least 4 hrs/day.
  • Upon working full-time hours: Schedule will generally be Monday-Friday, 5 days/wk, about 7 hrs/day, with occasional weekend flexibility for specific projects and events.
  • Start date is as soon as possible


Compensation & Perks:


  • $20/hr training rate, then $25/hour starting rate. Pay is hourly to start, may move to salary later upon achieving a predictable schedule.
  • Free practice in rental rooms during happy hour (before 5pm weekdays, after 6pm weekends)
  • 25% off any food, beverage, or retail items sold at 7DC.
  • Benefits package is offered if reaching 32 recurring hours or more per week, which includes accumulated PTO, partial health insurance compensation, and a cell phone reimbursement plan.
