The Role
You will be responsible for designing, building, and characterizing cutting-edge underwater robotic systems.
Key Responsibilities
Develop conceptual designs for underwater robotic systems
Work with the engineering team to specify mechanical, hardware, and software requirements for the subsystem
Build, test, characterize, and refine prototypes
When needed, specify design packages and evaluate, qualify, select, and manage contract manufacturers to fabricate designs
Develop and maintain a system roadmap
Minimum Qualifications
An undergraduate or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Autonomous Systems or a related field
4+ years of real-world experience with designing, building, and shipping robotic arms, graspers, or other similar systems.
Experience in programming complex robotics systems
Excellent communication, interpersonal, computer and technical writing skills are mandatory.
Highly Preferred Qualifications
Experience applying your experience to submersibles, spacecraft, drones, or similar power and weight-constrained electro-mechanical systems
