This position of Research Program Coordinator is to provide administrative support for the land-grant capacity research program, manage research projects, and coordinate faculty research activities in the Cooperative Research Division. This is a full-time, fringe-benefit eligible staff position directly reporting to the Associate Director of Research in the College of Agriculture, Environmental and Human Science (CAEHS) at Lincoln University of Missouri.
Essential Job Function
Track research progress, activity, and annual as well as final reports of faculty's capacity and grant-funded research projects on a regular basis.
Assist with preparation and submission of annual report for the research program.
Communicate with PI's and coordinate faculties and their graduate student's research to ensure productivity and timely completion of graduate students' projects.
Work closely with LU-CAEHS Ag Communication staff to provide research updates for website and organize or coordinate research events for program promotion.
Schedule research meetings and draft meeting minutes, event flyers, and relevant documents.
Assist research faculty in pre-grant application and post-award management processes.
Develop standard operation protocols or guidelines for grant application as well as assist with completing pre-approval of equipment purchase form to USDA-NIFA.
Contact funding agencies and stakeholders for research program inputs.
Oversee research program safety and regulatory compliance, including:
The correct use of USDA-NIFA Logo in posters, websites, and other presentations resulting from NIFA award.
Proper acknowledgement of financial support from NIFA and other agencies in peer-reviewed publications, MSc thesis, etc.

Qualifications
A MS degree or above in agriculture and food sciences or closely related fields, with research projects and grant management experience.
Successful candidates with demonstrable ability to conduct project management and coordinate research activity are preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, And Personal Characteristics
Strong organizational, writing/oral communication skills and the ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment is required.
Ability to multitask and perform under deadlines is essential. Familiarity and experience with management and grant application processes is preferred.
Skills with computer software (word, excel, ppt) and data management are desired attributes.
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to drive vehicles and must have a valid driver's license.
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Salary: $50000 - $60000 per year
