Job Description

In the Quality Manager role, based in Richmond, you will be responsible for providing support in quality improvement, accreditation preparedness, clinical risk, complaint and clinical incident management and clinical audit to the divisions' executive and leadership teams. You will be part of the Clinical Governance Team and report to the Clinical Governance Manager.

You will make an impact by:

· Assisting and supporting continuous improvement activities across Epworth Richmond;

· Supporting department managers and senior leaders with ongoing accreditation preparedness

· Providing strong and visible support, advice and education to staff regarding quality and patient safety incident management;

· Ensuring responsive patient feedback and proactive patient experience improvement processes

· Working collaboratively within the division and with Clinical Service Heads to deliver safe and effective care.

· Supporting the clinical risk management process to ensure appropriate reporting, posting and follow up of clinical incidents

To be successful in this role…

You passion for patient safety and strong understanding of the quality cycle is evidenced by your commitment to supporting our hospital achieve excellence in patient care and provide safe positive patient outcomes.

You will have

· A qualification as a Registered Nurse, and extensive experience working in the clinical risk management and/or quality program of a large health service;

· A strong understanding of accreditation requirements including the National Standards

· Experience working collaboratively with a range of professionals and staff to deliver quality and clinical auditing projects that support improved patient outcomes;

· Highly developed analytical skills to drive improvement through the production of presentations, reports and submissions;

· Passion for and understanding of the quality improvement cycle;
