Job Description: Quality Engineering Associate

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Reports to the Quality Systems Manager.

Develops, implements and improves inspection methods, plans, check sheets, and work instructions.

Implements Statistical Process Control systems and processes.

Performs data analysis and recommends adjustments to improve effectiveness and efficiencies of system.

Develop, conducts and documents quality training, including blueprint reading, check sheets, inspection methods, SPC, and other training as required.

Lead or participate in root cause/corrective action activities for customer, supplier and internal non conformances and complaints. Maintains records of same

Supports the MRB process through nonconformance documentation and control including instruction generation, analysis and supplier performance monitoring. Supports the receiving inspection process including inspection, ERP system receiving and material certification record retention.

Perform audits of processes and products including internal and external ISO quality

system audits, customer audits, and process compliance audits.

Supports New Product Introduction activities, including template/check sheet

reviews inspection planning, and gage designs and evaluation.

Create programs/methods for CMM and Vision system applications.

Supports development of control plans, pFMEA's and process flows.

Performs inspections/tests in support of the Quality department as required.

Oversees the calibration system by performing internal calibration and managing the external calibration service.
