JOB SUMMARY As a Quality Engineer, you will develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance procedures for sourcing reliable materials and ensuring product compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements. You?ll oversee manufacturing processes, monitor compliance, manage supplier quality, conduct defect analysis, and lead corrective actions. Additionally, you'll ensure documentation and regulatory standards are met, while driving continuous improvement across production operations. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES * Investigate and resolve nonconforming products/materials (e.g., RR, NC). * Analyze quality data to identify trends and recommend changes to company standards. * Perform root cause corrective action using established methods. * Review and approve First Article Inspections. * Conduct Internal Audits. * Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze product data and resolve issues. For Advanced Quality Engineers: * Contribute to updates of quality processes and procedures. * Establish and maintain methods for evaluating precision in inspection processes. * Provide training on processes, procedures, and systems both inside and outside the Quality organization. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Education/Experience: * Bachelor of Science Degree in an engineering discipline (Aerospace, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Material Science, Computer Science, or related field). * 2+ years of direct experience in the listed duties & responsibilities, with 5+ years of demonstrated competency in the duties & responsibilities preferred. EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS * As a US Department of Defense Contractor, Astronics is bound by?International Traffic in Arms Regulations?(ITAR). Must be a US Person under ITAR to be eligible. * An offer of employment is contingent on successfully passing a pre-employment background screen and drug test which includes screening for the use of cannabis. Base salary range is $72,746 - $109,119 per year.? Several job-related and non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to experience in comparable roles, skill sets, training, education, licensure or certifications, other qualifications, market conditions and business needs influence actual salary offered.
