Job Title: Quality Engineer Client is unable to provide visa sponsorship now or in the future. Job Description As a Quality Engineer, you will support activities to ensure the quality of completed vehicles and supplied parts. You will be responsible for developing quality standards and inspection plans, confirming execution by manufacturing and suppliers, and supporting new model vehicle development with design and manufacturing. Additionally, you will manage change points with suppliers, manufacturing, and design within your assigned area of responsibility, and facilitate vehicle assurance strategies. Responsibilities * Develop and confirm execution of quality standards and inspection plans by manufacturing and suppliers. * Monitor group KPIs, identify and resolve issues using FMDS (Floor Management Development System) and TBP methods. * Support new model vehicle development and adherence to Operation Plan (OP). * Support deployment of the Quality Hoshin (Management Led Strategic Planning). * Lead countermeasure activities for quality problems across departments. * Manage change points with suppliers, manufacturing, and design. * Facilitate vehicle assurance strategies such as UIN, Water leak, Door Close, Emissions, etc. Essential Skills * Experience in Automotive Quality Engineering. * Proficiency in Quality control and Ppap. * Bachelor's degree in a related field. * Experience with Key Performance Indicator (KPI) based management. * Ability to independently resolve complex quality problems. * Experience in manufacturing quality engineering. * Ability to travel locally and internationally up to 15% of the time. Additional Skills & Qualifications * Quality Engineer Certifications or Quality Auditor Certifications such as CQE. * Participation in JKK and/or Jishuken activities. * Experience in creating and updating strategies for training and new model introduction. * Cost and budget experience through planning and budget approval. * Experience leading a team for cross-departmental or cross-functional goals. * Experience with new model or product development and Operation Plan creation. Work Environment This position is located at one of the largest manufacturing facilities outside of Japan. The work environment offers opportunities for ongoing training and skills development through onsite training courses.
