The Quality Engineer provides expertise in Quality Assurance and process improvement tools and methods to support continuous improvement across targeted functions of the organization. This role contributes to Quanta’s business growth and customer satisfaction by advancing quality initiatives and ensuring the development, implementation, and improvement of Quality Management Systems (QMS) throughout operations. Responsibilities include supporting new product, process, and service launches through advanced quality planning and thorough documentation.
Duties/Responsibilities
Serve as the Quality interface between the organization and its customers, proactively ensuring that customer needs and expectations are understood and met.
Manage the complaint process and lead the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Prepare and analyze supplier performance reports to provide feedback to both suppliers and internal teams.
Participate in the organization’s internal Quality System Audit program and monitor corrective actions.
Develop and analyze statistical data and product/process performance to recommend and implement improvements.
Ensure company compliance with ISO 9001 standards, processes, and procedures.
Design and conduct quality-related training programs across the organization.
Support all stages of product development and launch activities.
Develop and evaluate process capability studies, control plans, and conduct process audits to drive performance improvements.
Develop, implement, and audit inspection and test plans, standards, acceptance criteria, procedures, and work instructions.
Investigate and resolve quality issues, ensuring thorough follow-up on corrective actions.
Required Skills/Abilities
Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, repair processes, quality improvement programs, and design for manufacturability.
Working knowledge of quality tools and techniques, including data analysis and sampling plans.
Familiarity with ISO standards and quality management systems.
Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to establish effective partnerships with internal stakeholders.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education And Experience
Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) or equivalent required.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a manufacturing environment, with exposure to product development, quality assurance, supplier quality engineering, supplier performance systems, and engineering documentation.
