The Bellevue Ice Cream Plant is seeking a day shift Quality Control Technician.
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for all stages of the manufacturing process of ice cream. Product quality testing, analysis and auditing required for State and Federal regulatory compliance.
Day Shift - 5am to 1:30pm, Monday through Friday, with the occasional OT as business needs dictate.
Competitive Wages - The Pay range is $28 to $30 per hour, but no less than the local minimum wage.
Starting rates will vary based on things like location, experience, qualifications, and the terms of any applicable collective bargaining agreement. Additional premiums for swing and grave shifts are available. Dependent on length of service, hours worked and any applicable collective bargaining agreement, benefits include medical, dental, vision, disability and life insurance, sick pay (accrued based on hours worked), PTO/Vacation pay (accrued based on hours worked), paid holidays (between 7-9 days annually), bereavement pay, and retirement benefits (pension and/or 401k eligibility).

Roles and responsibilities will include the following at a minimum:
❑ Perform all needed chemical, sensory and microbiological testing on product environment samples and raw materials as required
❑ Ensure adherence to “Good Manufacturing Practices” (GMPs)
❑ Report non-compliant raw materials and finished products promptly
❑ Identify and tag defective product
❑ Maintain and manage laboratory supply inventory
❑ Perform environmental testing of production area
❑ Maintain organized, sanitary environment in quality control laboratory
❑ Recognize both internal and external customers and manage relationships
❑ Perform data entry into Safeway computer applications
❑ Operate and perform general upkeep of manufacturing equipment
❑ Perform basic maintenance functions on lab equipment in support of Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) initiative
❑ Participate in continuous improvement process
❑ Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs)
❑ Comply with government regulations
❑ Work safely following all documented state and federal safety requirements
❑ Participate in the development and maintenance of a world class manufacturing environment
❑ Perform other duties as assigned
