Project Description:
At Société Générale Global Solution Centre (GSC), we are looking for a QA Engineer to ensure the reliability, functionality, and performance of our critical banking applications. This role offers opportunities for both manual and automated testing, with a focus on delivering high-quality software solutions.
Whether you are at the beginning of your career or an experienced professional, you will contribute to the software development lifecycle by identifying defects, improving test automation, and collaborating with development teams. As part of our agile environment, you will play a key role in maintaining robust, secure, and high-performing financial applications.
Specifically, you will be required to:
- Design, develop, and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts to ensure high-quality application releases.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing as per project requirements.
- Identify, document, and track bugs and defects in collaboration with development teams using tools like JIRA or TestRail.
- Work closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and define test strategies.
- Automate test cases using industry-standard tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Playwright and Tosca.
- Conduct API testing using tools like Postman or SoapUI.
- Participate in agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Ensure compliance with security, performance, and regulatory standards in the banking sector.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
Profile required
General Requirements:
- Experience in software testing, with responsibilities tailored to experience level.
- Strong knowledge of SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) and STLC (Software Testing Life Cycle).
- Proficiency in writing test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
- Familiarity with bug-tracking and test management tools like JIRA or TestRail.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies such as black-box, white-box, regression, and exploratory testing.
- Experience with test automation frameworks like Tosca, Selenium, Playwright
- Experience with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner) is a plus.
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests in DevOps workflows.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk and prioritize testing efforts.
- Good level of English and French (B1).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- ISTQB certification is a plus.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
