Avion Solutions Inc., an employee-owned company, seeks candidates for a Qualification Test Engineer/Analyst to support PM STRIKE. This position is based in Huntsville, AL. Job Responsibilities/Duties: * Responsible for designing and executing Qualification test plans to validate the functionality and quality of complex Army missile systems. * Lead and support component, subsystem, and system-level qualification testing; test types may include Environmental, EMI/EMC, Safety, and Human Factors. This includes on-site TDY testing support, training to operate weapon system equipment at the test facility, and performing unit-under-test functional checks. * Follow the Government test plan to conduct mechanical/physical setup of the test equipment and the Unit Under Test (UUT) in test chambers. * Employee will follow the Government test plan to conduct UUT functional and operational testing in Climatic and Electromatic environments such as low temperature, high temperature, rain, icing, humidity, and others. * Ensure execution of test schedule by collaborating with test facility staff and daily status reporting to STRIKE leadership. * Evaluate systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-464). * Identify potential weapon system issues and defects by performing tests on the system's features. * Report findings to ensure the final product meets specifications, working closely with development teams across the product lifecycle. * This position involves physically climbing on top of military vehicles and weapon systems. * Other duties as assigned. Required Experience: * BS or BA degree. * 10 years of test and evaluation experience. * Five (5) years of experience in weapon system qualification testing (can be part of the 10 years above). * Experience evaluating systems to ensure they meet military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, and MIL-STD-464). * Experience following Government test plans to operate UUTs and test equipment in Climatic and electromagnetic environments to validate the functionality and quality of complex Army missile systems. * Must be a US Citizen and have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance. * Must be able to travel up to 40% of the time. US travel only. Preferred Qualifications: * Redstone Test Center (RTC) or other lab experience.
