We are seeking a highly motivated and structured Functional & Technical Test Lead to oversee the testing of the new RMS (Resource Management System) application.

This key role will involve leading both functional and technical testing efforts in collaboration with business users across various departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to guide business users through the testing process effectively.

The Impact You’ll Make:

• Test Strategy & Planning: Develop and implement a functional and technical test strategy for both the RMS and StaffComm applications
• Test Documentation: Create and maintain a clear documentation structure for the test plan, ensuring consistency and clarity across all testing activities
• Test Case Design & Execution: Collaborate with business users to design detailed test cases and execute them manually alongside business teams. Ensure all scenarios are tested thoroughly and accurately
• Fault Documentation & Remediation: Document any issues or faults identified during testing and work with the appropriate technical or vendor teams to track and resolve these issues in a timely manner
• User Acceptance Testing (UAT): Align with business stakeholders on the development of UAT test cases and collaborate with them to ensure that all test cases have been executed and issues resolved
• Stakeholder Communication: Build and maintain strong relationships with business users and other stakeholders to ensure smooth communication and alignment throughout the testing process
• Process Management: Independently guide business users through the testing process, helping them understand testing objectives, execution and outcomes

• Structured & Detail-Oriented: You have a meticulous approach to testing and documentation, ensuring no detail is overlooked.
• Relationship Building: You are able to foster strong working relationships with business stakeholders and users, facilitating collaboration and communication.
• Technical Expertise: You possess a strong understanding of the IT Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and have hands-on experience with functional and non-functional testing
• Proactive and independent: Independent, proactive, and capable of driving the testing process from planning through execution and closure
• Results-oriented: You are focused on creating high-quality outputs and raising questions to the team as needed to develop that content

What You’ll Bring:

• Proven experience leading functional testing for SaaS or enterprise software implementations
• Strong understanding of manual testing methodologies; test automation is not a focus in this role
• Exceptional attention to detail, organisational skills, and documentation discipline
• Ability to build trust and effectively communicate with diverse business stakeholders
• Independent, proactive, and capable of driving the testing process from planning through execution and closure

Technology Stack:

• Familiarity with IT SDLC: Understanding of all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle, from requirements gathering through to deployment.
• Digital Knowledge: Strong familiarity with both iOS and Windows platforms to support testing across different operating systems.
• IT Tool Testing Experience: Previous experience in testing IT tools and applications, ideally in a similar capacity.
• Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with Agile practices and tools, including experience with JIRA, Confluence, XRay, and other Agile project management or testing tools.

Preferred qualifications:

• Familiarity with aviation is a plus
• Experience working in a cross-functional environment with multiple business units
