Duration & Type: 6 months Contract with a major pharmaceutical industry client Location: Waltham, Massachusetts (Some remote work is available and can be decided with the hiring manager.) Responsibilities: Responsible for executing and delivering Project Management activities for Vaccines Research projects Provide input to enable timely execution of assigned projects, ensuring the highest quality and full compliance of all outputs. Facilitate with each Research Project Team the following: Define research deliverables, scope, timing, resources, and costs for assigned projects. Author project reporting documentation, maintain project management systems Ensure team completes required activities, deliverables and documentation for Stage Gate Reviews Collaboratively generate the product development strategy with project teams, providing input, guidance and mentorship for project teams. Assimilate and report on the Research Vaccines Portfolio, lead prioritization sessions Will foster close collaboration with other departments, defining and improving interfaces to other functions. Project Management leadership for New Vaccines Opportunities – develop strategy and scope and seek governance endorsement Note: Due to some global nature of the role, early morning or late evening meetings maybe required; otherwise, a typical 9am to 5pm schedule (Monday-Friday) Required: Education: Bachelor degree or equivalent in Science, Pharmacy, or Pharmaceutical Sciences Preferred:An advanced degree in Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, PMP Certification, Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or equivalent. 8-10 years experience in the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry (or where relevant a biomedical research organization). At least five years experience in managing projects. In-depth knowledge in the drug development and/or manufacturing processes for pharmaceuticals (CMC, Non-clinical, Clinical, Regulatory Affairs).
