The Project Manager will be a key community liaison and responsible for the oversight and management of one, multi-site community engaged project at the Institute for Behavioral Health (IBH) across all aspects of the project lifecycle. They will work closely with the PI but with significant independence. The Project Manager performs administrative and organizational management duties to advise and assist PI(s) and IBH in the implementation and management of projects, and is generally responsible for ensuring the project goals and deadlines are met in a timely manner and monitoring/tracking deliverables and project activities. More specifically, the project manager will work closely with community-based harm reduction programs; work collaboratively with community sites to maintain high quality programming; support compliance with state, local and best practices; and ensure excellence in the operation of multiple community sites that our Brandeis MADDS community drug checking program supports. Key Responsibilities: * Liaises with community harm reduction programs to support implementation and technical assistance needs. for the Massachusetts Drug Supply Data Stream. Working with 19+ sites across the state of Massachusetts, works closely with the PIs, administrative and leadership teams and other senior roles to identify and support project goals and tasks; participates as a key team member to identify and implement significant goals and approaches; contributes to the communications strategy. Manages community harm reduction program quality assurance; supports compliance with state, local and best practices; and ensures excellence in the operation of those community sites. * Manages projects within schedule; engages with team members across roles/functions to ensure efficient and appropriate completion of tasks and activities to advance the project. Under the supervision of the project PI and in accordance with funder requirements, conducts the following activities. * Identifies projects' needs, determines appropriate approach and requirements; creates and executes project work plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs, requirements, and budget. * Ensures issues are identified, tracked, reported on, and resolved in a timely manner; works with the PI to identify required changes, and communicate needed changes to team and other internal and external parties. * Manages day-to-day operational aspects of a project's scope. * Manages some research/project administration needs, including preparation of IRB applications and progress reports, and supporting other administrative needs. * Utilizes project management software for efficient tracking and management of project activities. * Communicates and engages effectively with research and project team, collaborators, advisory board members, consultants, and external organizations to identify and address needs and advance the goals of the project. * Support other research and project tasks as needed (e.g., prepare or assist with presentations and other materials for conferences and meetings; give presentations; assist with website or communications; support hiring processes). Education & Requirements: Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years related work experience Skilled with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and willing to learn other programs (e.g. bibliographic software, Qualtrics survey software, Google Suite, Workday, StreetCheck, Asana). Excellent communication and writing skills. Experience working with harm reduction and community agencies required (at least 2 years). Requires independent work, high-level knowledge of community program operations and harm reduction content area, ability to work with multiple people, experience with people who use drugs, excellent organizational and time-management skills. Excellent attention to detail, working under deadlines, ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and problem solving required. Knowledge of research and project administration, IRB, proposal and business processes, content knowledge of health and/or substance use/mental health systems is preferred. This position will be exclusively represented by the Service Employees International Union (SEIU), Local 888 for purposes of wages, hours and other terms and conditions of employment.
