We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Permanent Project Manager for Healthcare Construction. This role is crucial in leading and overseeing all aspects of our healthcare construction projects, including tenant improvements, hospitals, and cancer centers. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to our clients' satisfaction. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our company, while working in a dynamic and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct healthcare construction projects from conception to completion.
- Manage tenant improvement projects, hospital constructions, and cancer center builds.
- Review and interpret project requirements in order to develop detailed project plans.
- Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors to ensure they understand their roles and responsibilities.
- Meet contractual conditions of performance by reviewing the work progress on a daily basis.
- Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
- Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status.
- Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks.
- Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
- Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements.
- Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, architecture, engineering, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management within the healthcare construction industry.
- Proven experience in managing tenant improvement projects, hospital constructions, and cancer center builds.
- In-depth understanding of construction procedures, material, and project management principles.
- Familiarity with quality and health and safety standards.
- Proficient in construction project management software.
- Exceptional leadership, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
