The Project Manager manages key client projects as the result of commercial activity from the ISG group. Project management responsibilities include the scope of activities to execute a system sales order, including order entry and processing, supply chain management, technical interface related to drawing and document production, installation management, project scheduling and budget. The Project Manager interfaces with internal sales, engineering, accounting and service personnel as well as external vendors and contractors. Project schedules and costing details are maintained and reported to monitor and summarize progress of projects.
Roles/Responsibilities
Analyses Purchase Order for contract review, pricing reconciliation, project execution details, commitment and scope
Organizes and facilitates order entry meeting
Develops and manages drawing and documentation requirements
Identifies, specifies and orders externally-supplied materials and services
By site visits, web meetings and drawing exchange, identifies field conditions and ensures are consistent with equipment and systems being supplied
Identifies, schedules and negotiates subcontracted installation services
Advises customer of requirements and insure site conditions are compatible with order such as utilities, rigging, storage and building alterations
Organizes and schedules system commissioning needs and insures site readiness
Follows customer milestones and requirements and engages in engineering and business activity to match
Manages project on summary project schedule with routine query of ERP and meeting participation
Management of changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques.
Manages client relationships. Escalates of potential risk to management as needed.
Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors. To include frequent meetings with clients to take detailed ordering briefs and clarify specific requirements of each project.
Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members’ individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels.
Meet budgetary objectives and adjust project constraints based on financial analysis.
Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other staff members.
Use and continually develop leadership skills.
Attend conferences and training as required to maintain proficiency
Qualifications
5+ years previous project management related experience within the food or plastics industry (previous industry experience is preferred not required).
Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, Critical Path, and Dependencies. Experience in with other related project management software.
Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
Bachelor’s Degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience
SAP (ERP) business system practical experience (plus)
