Summary

Legal Project Manager – International Law Firm (London/Leeds/Birmingham/Glasgow/Amsterdam)

We’re working with a highly regarded law firm that’s on the lookout for an experienced Legal Project Manager to join their growing team. This is a client-facing role where you’ll play a key part in driving legal matters forward with a structured, project-led approach. It’s a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with lawyers and clients to improve delivery, enhance efficiency, and boost profitability across legal matters.

You'll be involved in scoping legal projects, setting timelines and budgets, and making sure everything stays on track. But it's not just about delivery—you’ll also be an advocate for project management within the business, helping to grow awareness and demonstrate the value of LPM services across the firm. There’s a real strategic element here, and the firm’s fully supportive of LPM being embedded across practice areas globally.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Acting as a key representative of the LPM function across multiple offices.
  • Building strong internal networks and raising the profile of LPM within legal teams.
  • Working alongside partners and legal teams to scope, plan, and deliver matters efficiently and on time.
  • Managing budgets, risks, timelines, and communications across multiple concurrent projects.
  • Supporting on BD initiatives, contributing to pitch documents, and helping grow the pipeline of LPM opportunities.
  • Collaborating with business services teams to identify ways to streamline delivery.
  • Taking ownership of project documentation—think trackers, comms plans, timelines, etc.
  • Running post-project reviews and feeding into ongoing improvements in the LPM approach.
  • Mentoring junior project team members and identifying cost-effective resourcing options.

What They’re Looking For:

  • Strong background in client-facing project management—ideally within legal or professional services.
  • Hands-on experience managing corporate legal projects like M&A or large transactions.
  • A solid understanding of legal technology and law firm financials/performance metrics.
  • Experience managing cross-border projects with international stakeholders.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills—you’ll need to be confident leading from the front.
  • Any additional languages (Dutch or German in particular) are a bonus!

This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys bringing structure to complex legal work, with plenty of room to influence how project management is delivered across the business. It’s a growing area for the firm, and they’re keen to bring in someone who’ll really drive things forward.
