Join our Energy and Power business unit as a Project Manager in the District Energy space, where we leverage our solutions across various markets to foster a more connected and sustainable world, both environmentally and socially.
Role Summary
Our District Energy team specializes in engineering and design of central utility plants that generate electricity, steam, hot water, and chilled water, which are then distributed to nearby buildings for heating, cooling, and power supply.
As a District Energy experienced Project Manager, you’ll work on challenging projects that depend on your vision, expertise, intuition, and leadership to plan, direct, and monitor all aspects of complex project delivery.
We’ll rely on your leadership and proven ability to develop strong relationships with our clients. Your experience should include extensive experience in engineering and design execution planning, risk identification and mitigation, scope management, cost control and scheduling.
Responsibilities
- Project Planning and Scheduling Developing detailed project plans, timelines, and schedules to ensure that all project phases are completed on time.
- Budget Management Overseeing project budgets, ensuring that costs are controlled and projects are completed within financial constraints.
- Team Coordination Leading and coordinating the efforts of engineering teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration among team members.
- Stakeholder Communication Acting as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing regular updates on project progress and addressing any concerns.
- Risk Management Identifying potential project risks and developing mitigation strategies to address them.
- Quality Assurance Ensuring that all project deliverables meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Resource Allocation Managing the allocation of resources to optimize project efficiency.
- Compliance and Safety Ensuring that all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and safety guidelines with special focus on keeping people safe.
- Documentation and Reporting Preparing and maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including progress reports, cost analyses, and final project reports

Here's what you'll need
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years demonstrated professional experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager responsible for execution of District Energy or similar market related projects.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make decisions and pivot quickly as required to meet our client’s business objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present project status information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy in cost estimation and reporting.
- Experience working for Engineering, Design Build or Construction/EPC firms
- Knowledge of risk management and cost control techniques.
Preferred Qualifications
- Project Management Professional Certification (PMP).
- 10+ years of demonstrated professional experience as a Project Manager responsible for execution of District Energy or similar market related projects.
- Experience with Thermal Energy Networks (TENs)
- Experience with microgrids and electrical distribution

The base salary range for this position is $140,700.00 to $180,000.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
