Summary

The Project Engineer is responsible for planning, managing, documentation and executing engineering projects from conception through completion. The role involves coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, managing resources, documentations control, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and solving any technical issues that arise. The Project Engineer is expected to deliver projects on time, within scope, and on budget while ensuring quality standards are met.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist PM or his assigned in developing project scopes, objectives, and engineering deliverables, including presentations.
  • Prepare technical documentation, specifications, and project timelines.
  • Work closely with the Project Manager to develop detailed work plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including technical reports, drawings, and specifications.
  • Attend and facilitate sites activities by interfacing with subcontractors and engineers.
  • Monitor, manage and report on sites activities.
  • Assist Interface Manager in the submission and approval of permits.
  • Assist Planner in planning and scheduling.
  • Assist PM in preparation and regular updates of status reports, risks and issues to the project owner, stakeholders, and senior management
  • Regular exchange and coordination with all departments and external vendors to meet project milestones and assure execution within contractually agreed parameters.
  • Monitor and manage project risks and issues, escalating them as necessary.
  • Prepare documentation and management of risks and issues
  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders, contractors, and vendors to ensure project milestones are being met.
  • Coordinate meetings and ensure clear communication across project teams and customers
  • Coordinate activities of the project teams through task delegation, resource assignment and programme management
  • Review vendor and subcontractor quotations for technical compliance and budget considerations.



Requirements

Academic Qualifications and Certifications:

  • Degree in Engineering/software or related field
  • Project Management degree or equivalent with minimum 3-5 years of related experience
  • Candidate should minimally go thru at least 1-2 software development project life cycle.
  • Relevant project management certifications are a plus.
  • Candidate must be proficient in written and spoken English.

Required Experience:

  • Experience in developing project scopes, objectives, and engineering deliverables.
  • Experience in preparing technical documentation, specifications, and project timelines.
  • Experience in submission workflow including claims and documentations with the customer.
  • Demonstrate understanding of the project life cycle (e.g., EPC, Waterfall, Agile)
  • Demonstrate understanding in project change management.
  • Demonstrate understanding in Project Office Admin & Filing system.
  • Demonstrate understanding in setting up of the Project Management Repository.
  • Demonstrate competency in planning and scheduling using MS project and coming out with project S-Curve (E.g. primavera)
  • Demonstrate competency in Managing Project Risks and Issues
  • Demonstrate competency in Controlling Cost & Budget for project.

  • Good communication skills/presentation.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks when faced with multiple deadlines and operate under tight deadlines.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
