Summary

We have a current opportunity for a Project Engineer on a contract basis. The position will be based closed to Bern area of Switzerland. As a Project Engineer for Black Utilities you will support the Engineering team during planning, construction and start-up of units and plants in the Black Utilities Infrastructure sector at the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verification of ideas and requests, feasibility and conceptual studies for projects until the internal approval for execution together with the internal and external team members (Electrical-, Measurement- and Controls Engineering, Civil Engineering, HVAC-Engineering, 3D-Planning and Field Engineering/Construction Management, Fire protection, General Planners, and other Subject Matter Experts)
  • Plant Design, and execution of projects, together with and coordinating of internal and external engineering partners until and including successful plant start-up
  • Support/accompaniment of 3D coordination, resolution of collisions, adjustments, etc
  • Responsibility for commissioning and acceptance of the systems and participation in integral tests with general designer/architect, internal engineering disciplines, piping contractors, etc. incl. collection/control/handover of the as-built technical documentation to the end user and handover of the systems to the future owner and operator

Key Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in Process or Chemical Engineering or similar
  • Work experience in project engineering and planning /construction/start-up of plants in Chemical, Pharma or Biopharma industry
  • 5+ years of experience in either CAPEX Engineering and/or Operations Engineering in Chemical, Pharma or Biopharma industry
  • Independent working style and able to work in a multi-discipline and complex environment
  • Well-structured thinking and precise working ability
  • Fluent in German and English
