Job Title: Project Controls Analyst
Job Description
The primary focus of this role is to oversee the completion report process, which involves analyzing materials, labor, overhead, and other charges against projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and entering all reports into a system for review and approval before unitizing the assets. This role also includes various responsibilities related to forecasting, budgeting, cost estimation, and schedule management.
Responsibilities
* Assist in the review process with transmission and substation stakeholders for forecasting and budget development.
* Perform monthly tracking and variance analysis by project, and report monthly Capex and O&M to project stakeholders.
* Develop project cost estimates in collaboration with engineering, conduct post-construction cost variance reviews, and maintain cost estimate summaries.
* Initiate work requests and ensure timely in-service and completion reporting, including journal entries.
* Assist with schedule development and update weekly progress.
* Generate ad hoc reports for the Southwest Power Pool, regulatory bodies, and data requests.
* Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
* Demonstrated working knowledge of job types and assets being managed and constructed.
* Understanding of work and business processes related to budgeting transmission and substation work.
* Ability to work independently and resolve work process issues using analytical thinking, creative problem solving, and sound reasoning.
* Comprehensive skills in personal computer applications and knowledge of financial system applications.
* Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to present information concisely.
* Ability to build relationships and work effectively with others in a team environment.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in business or a related field.
* Relevant experience in transmission and substation assets.
* General finance experience and proficiency in spreadsheet and word processing software applications.
* Experience using Microsoft Project is preferred.
* Proficiency in Windows, databases, and spreadsheets.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $33.00/hr.
