Summary

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Project Coordinator is a key role that coordinates pre-construction project tasks to ensure that budgeted contract signings, permits & site starts are achieved within required time frames, and that customer satisfaction is maximized. Administer domestic building contracts in accordance with the company’s contract type and the Domestic Building Contracts Act. Communicate project progress to stakeholders & customers and provide administrative support to the construction team.

Set up projects in Burbank Urbans Filing System & MS Project to maintain the accuracy of baseline, forecast & actual task dates.

Some Key Tasks Are

  • Liaise internally with the Project managers and with customers on their builds.
  • Project Manage the pre-site process including Town Planning to ensure deadlines are met and communicated to all parties.
  • Escalate potential issues with your recommendations for resolution.
  • Prepare and present HIA contracts.
  • Complete the relevant permit applications.
  • Proactively managing customer expectations by ensuring clients are regularly updated of the status of their home during the building process.
  • Maintain customer files with relevant contract, variations, and other required documentation
  • Liaise with site managers in providing construction updates for the customers.
  • Provide updates and be the main point of contact for the customer from sales accept to construction handover.
  • Ensure all Building Permits requirements are meet to avoid unnecessary delays.
  • General administration, including preparing the Building Contract documentation for presentation and signing.

WHO YOU ARE

You will have solid experience in the domestic or medium density building industry with exposure to administration or construction of housing projects.

Alongside your knowledge of the Town planning process, land/building subdivision, knowledge of Building Regulations, domestic building contracts (AS/ HIA/ MBA and associated terminology), you'll have the ability to work unsupervised, excellent communication skills, the ability to problem solve, resolve conflicts, organise, and set priorities.

Key Experience

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a similar role | pre site
  • Previous experience with ordering / managing permits for the complete pre site residential process.
  • Experience in a customer focussed role with conflict and problem management focus
  • Working knowledge of the building and construction process
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proven ability to work in a positive and professional manner in a goal orientated environment.
  • Medium Density Experience in both Split Contract & D&C.
