Come join our team! Summary: Create 3 and/or 5 axis programs using CAM software. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Studies engineering drawings, specifications, notes, and other design data to produce programming layouts. Utilizes knowledge of machines, engineering, mathematics, and materials to help create programs. Analyzes designs to determine the best machining paths, cutting tools, and machine settings. Specifies tool assignments, material to be used and other information necessary to clearly convey programming plan to operators. Work closely with operators to solve programming challenges by assisting with machine operation. Updates and corrects programs as needed following revision procedures. Skills Required: Proficient with AutoCAD and Mastercam. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented and superb organization skills. Advance arithmetic skills and ability to read blueprints. Must be adaptable to change and possess good trouble-shooting skills. Knowledge of plastics is desired. Knowledge of SolidWorks is a plus.
