Summary

Florida A&M University's College of Nursing is pleased to announce the acceptance of qualified applications for the Program Manager vacancy. This position requires in-person attendance on our main campus in Tallahassee, Florida. Responsibilities Report directly to the graduate associate dean, the program manager assists the associate dean in operationalizing the vision, mission, and goals of the FAMU School of Nursing Graduate Nursing Programs. This position will report to and work closely with the associate dean, program director, and specialty track coordinator(s) to assist with managing and administrating graduate nursing programs in the SON. The Program Manager/Graduate Nursing duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assists the Associate Dean and other program administrators with the overall management and administration of the graduate nursing program; Assists the SON administrators with managing the daily operational needs of the program; Manages program projects for the graduate nursing program, including organizing research, grants, in-services, workshops, data collection, and analysis; and communicate with leadership and staff on project status, timelines, and expected deadlines. Assists with specialized nursing accreditation visits, data collection, reports, and communications; Works with the Associate Dean, other administrators, and university partners to develop marketing tools related to SON-led programs, special initiatives (such as graduate program expansion and student success programs), and student recruitment; Assists with strategic planning, budgeting and financial management; Oversees ongoing programmatic data collection, tracking, monitoring, and reporting for the graduate nursing program in the School of Nursing; Utilizes various software and computer applications/systems to track and analyze student enrollment, retention, progression, graduation, and certification exam data; and connects students, faculty, and staff to resources within the School of Nursing, Graduate School, and University. Clarifies and confirms the policies and procedures of the School of Nursing, the Graduate School, and the University; Oversees, monitors, and assists with graduate nursing student enrollment (curriculum plans and change requests, etc.), petitions, withdrawals, and tracking all milestones designed to prepare students for certification examinations; Participates in School of Nursing functions including attending events, meetings, and other activities, as well as maintain effective working relationships with all campus and community stakeholders; Assists with reports, surveys, and other assigned materials; and attends professional development events related to managerial role, nursing regulations, licensing/certification, and accreditation requirements. Performs other related duties as assigned. The omission of specific duties does not preclude the supervisor from assigning duties logically related to the position. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree and four years of related experience; or master's degree and two years of related experience. Preferred Qualifications Prefer with experience in a university setting, and knowledgeable about graduate nursing specialized accreditation (e.g. ACEN), legal and regulatory standards, and licensure and certification requirements; Self-motivated and comfortable working independently as well as with a team; Outstanding interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders and partners; Strong management skills and ability to balance competing demands and varying deadlines; Excellent communication skills, including writing and verbal communication; Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, take initiative, and follow through to completion; and, Proficient with Microsoft Office 365, Adobe Acrobat, and other software applications. Pay Plan This is an Administrative and Professional (A&P) position.
