Posting Number 0801718 Classification Title Program Coordinator Working Title Department The Center for International Education Department Contact Email [email protected] Job Summary/Basic Function Job Summary: The Program Coordinator works with the Center's director to provide support and guidance to domestic and international students and also to provide support and guidance to faculty interested in study abroad programs. Duties and Responsibilities: * Provide SEVIS DSO services to current and incoming international students. * Work with the Director on planning study abroad programs. * Assist with budget operations. * Assist in developing and planning events and activities. * Perform office management duties, including the creation, processing, and safe keeping of records and reports. * Perform other duties as assigned by the Director. Required Knowledge: * Knowledge of the general functions, policies and procedures of higher education institutions. * Knowledge of rules and regulations related to international students' studying in US. * Excellent communication and public relations skills; ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with faculty, staff, and students from various backgrounds. * Ability to follow oral and written directions; and ability to retain confidentiality. * Ability using computer software such as MS Office applications. * Understanding of, sensitivity to, and appreciation for the diversity of the members of the University. Minimum Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree and or equivalent degree. 2. At least one year experience with SEVIS services. 3. Office management experience. 4. Experience working with college students. Preferred Qualifications 1. Strong analytical, writing, and communication skills. 2. Good experience with SEVIS services.
