The Corporate Technology Production Support team is crucial in maintaining and managing essential applications used by the Middle Office, Operations, and Treasury teams. These applications play a vital role in the firm's profit and loss calculations, risk management, and regulatory reporting.
The team works closely with the Corporate Technology DevOps team and development teams to ensure a stable and resilient environment. They are also responsible for equipping the Level 1 support team with the necessary knowledge, tools, and documentation to handle day-to-day production issues or alerts.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the entire production environment, including:
Managing infrastructure
Planning and deploying releases
Handling incident and problem management
Conducting capacity planning and BCP testing
Develop strong relationships with development teams and end-users/clients by:
Promoting a DevOps culture
Focusing on client service and delivery
Become the expert in your area of responsibility by:
Building subject matter expertise
Providing cross-training to the Level 1 team and other support teams
Required Qualifications And Skills
At least 5 years of experience in supporting an enterprise environment
Educational background in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
Experience in supporting business-facing applications
Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python (preferred), PowerShell, Perl, etc.
Strong SQL skills and familiarity with various database systems
Ability to execute and comprehend complex queries
Experience in supporting both Windows and Unix/Linux environments
Familiarity with:
CI/CD processes
AWS
Kafka
RabbitMQ
