Role Overview
The Production & Product Development Associate will manage and maintain daily communications with overseas factories regarding production P.O. management and shipment status for our Splendid brand.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the Production & PD process from development to order placement through delivery for all Splendid categories as well as Kid's.
- Responsible for all milestone due dates, work with factories and sales team to receive and manage TNA’s, trigger date calendars to ensure deliverables are being met in a timely manner.
- Follow up on all approvals meeting T&A deadlines
- Review WIP with overseas office support weekly to ensure all critical dates are met.
- Responsible for PO Maintenance & Revisions as needed.
- Responsible for the follow through of the approval process from completed BOM handoff from design, for color and components approvals, technical follow up, fit approvals, pre-production, testing and TOP approvals.
- Support sourcing / costing activities, collect tech packs, artwork, and swatches from design for counter sourcing.
- Responsible for order placement and delivery confirmation with factories. Follow up on bookings, resolve booking exceptions and partner with logistics and sales to prioritize “hot” shipments.
- Escalate issues that impact delivery, coordinate resolutions with both internal and external partners.
- Coordinate direct shipment, collect carton weight/ sizes (CBM), invoices and packing list from factory.
- Work with cross-functional partners on communication of deliveries and approvals.
- Work closely with logistics team and overseas team to ensure delivery schedules are being maintained.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in apparel industry specifically in production and/or product development a must
- Kid's apparel experience is a plus
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills - able to manage and prioritize multiple projects at once
- Willing to take initiative and exercise strong problem-solving skills
- Adaptable, able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience communicating with overseas agents and factories
- Has a sense of urgency in managing time and while accomplishing tasks
- Ability to work well in a collaborative environment while also able to work well autonomously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal relationship skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite - specifically Excel
- Experience in PLM a plus
This an onsite role in our NYC office
NEW YORK PAY RATE: $65,000/yr-$81,000/yr
