What You'll Do
IronRidge is seeking a Product Manager to grow our residential and commercial product segments while streamlining and optimizing its current product portfolio. This role will be at the heart of ensuring we continue developing products that appeal to our customers, while implementing the right strategy to grow revenue and improve margins.
This position will identify new opportunities, translate those opportunities into product requirements, and partner with extended cross-functional teams of engineering, marketing, supply chain, sales, and finance to create and launch new products or iterations.
The ideal candidate is a dynamic professional who is energetic, creative, and highly organized. Previous product development and product line management, category, or brand management experience highly desirable. Solar or renewable energy industry experience preferred but not required.
- Hold end-to-end responsibility for one or more product lines within the IronRidge product portfolio
- Influence and support the structuring of the IronRidge roadmap. Develop and maintain deep knowledge regarding your customers’ needs, markets, trends and the competitive landscape.
- Field research and customer interviews to identify market requirements
- Strong ability to prioritize product features/value/pricing and managing backlog of projects by determining impact vs effort
- Create MRD/PRD, Make v. Buy v. Partner recommendations, solution vision, and robust business cases for new product opportunities
- Drive cross-functional NPI team to expeditiously bring new products to market that meet or exceed corporate strategic, financial, and quality requirements while working within the Phase-Gate / Stage-Gate model
- Manage entire product line life cycle from inception and strategic planning through product introduction and growth
- Leverage data/product analytics BI tools to monitor performance of current product lines and identify areas of improvement
- Track, analyze, and present product line results to senior management
- Develop pricing strategies and structures for respective product lines
- Coordinate go-to-market product timelines and collaborate with marketing on product messaging and launch campaigns
- Reconcile sales forecasting and build planning with market share goals on new products
- Coordinate with Supply Planning on product rollouts, transitions, and EOL plans
- 15% travel to the customer, vendor, and internal company sites as needed
What You'll Bring
- BS in electrical, structural, civil or mechanical engineering and minimum of 5 years relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MS or MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience in Product Management or a related field such as Product Planning, Product Development, or Portfolio Management. Preferred candidates will have experience with both strategic planning and tactical execution/development activities.
- Depth of experience, maturity of thinking, and multi-tasking skills necessary to successfully execute on current racking/mounting products while planning next generation products.
- Strong business acumen, analytical skills, and close familiarity with Product P&L
- Experience in the product development phase-gate model
- Ability to pull information from a variety of places (online reviews, customers, sales, new tech., articles, POS, and adoption metrics) and synthesize it into a framework that will support/drive high-level decisions
- Structured and clear communicator with the ability to create excitement and buy-in for your ideas and vision
- Strong collaborator with high EQ and a diplomatic ability to integrate and manage project stakeholders
- Decisive and comfortable facilitating a decision-making process and carrying responsibility
- Ability to prioritize and complete a variety of simultaneous tasks with high level of organization
- Hands-on mentality and an interest in solar and clean energy
Where you'll be Located
This position can be based in either our Hayward, CA or Phoenix, AZ office. As a hybrid position, you'll work 2-3 days/week from your assigned office, and the remaining days remotely.
What We'll Offer
We offer competitive compensation determined by each individual's relevant experience, skills, education and location. We anticipate the base salary for this position to be between
$105,000 and $130,000/annually, if located in the
San Francisco Bay Area market. In addition to base salary, Enstall employees are eligible for either an annual bonus or commission, depending on their position. If your desired salary falls outside of these rates, we hope you'll still apply as there may be other positions that better align.
