*Job Summary: **
The Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing the sourcing and procurement of goods and services from Chinese suppliers. This role involves developing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, ensuring quality standards, and managing the end-to-end procurement process to support the company's operational needs and strategic goals.
**Key Responsibilities: **
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for sourcing products and materials from China
- Identify, evaluate, and select reliable Chinese suppliers based on quality, cost, delivery time, and compliance
- Negotiate prices, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure favourable conditions
- Manage supplier relationships and conduct regular performance reviews
- Coordinate with internal departments to understand procurement requirements
- Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, import/export laws, and company policies
- Monitor market trends and new product developments in China
- Oversee logistics, shipping, and customs clearance processes
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation
- Conduct risk assessments related to supplier performance and geopolitical factors
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure product standards are met.
**Requirements: **
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, International Business, or related field
- Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, preferably involving Chinese suppliers
- Strong knowledge of Chinese manufacturing landscape, trade regulations, and import/export procedures
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills in English, proficiency in Mandarin is highly desirable
- Ability to analyze market trends and supplier capabilities
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office Suite
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multicultural environment

- Experience working with international logistics providers
- Knowledge of applicable customs and trade compliance standards
- Familiarity with quality control processes and standards
