Principal Data Management and Solutions Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Lead cloud data integration using Cloud Data Integration (CDI) and Cloud Application Integration (CAI) tools.
  • Align data architecture with business requirements.
  • Participate in setting up cloud data infrastructure and deploying AI-driven models for materials, processes, and product design.
  • Deploy data-driven and physics-based models for sustainable solutions and new mobility applications.
  • Connect IT, R&D, and Manufacturing teams across regions and time zones.
  • Serve as the technical lead for data management projects, optimizing data pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and data migration with tools like IICS and IDMC.
  • Design, develop, test, deploy, support, and enhance automated infrastructure and platform components like ETL, data pipelines and Python Programming

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, data engineering, materials science, chemistry, chemical engineering, physics, mechanical engineering, or mathematics with a focus on data engineering.
  • 8+ years of relevant Data Management, Modeling, Design and Architect Experience, 6+ years of experience after a master's degree.
  • Experience with designing, implementing, and operating mission-critical applications in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Expertise in CDI, CAI, and API development.
  • Experience with CI/CD concepts and tools.
  • Proficiency in cloud infrastructure management and serverless technologies (preferably Azure).
  • Proficiency in Cloud Data Quality (CDQ) and Cloud Data Profiling (CDP) with a strong understanding of data quality assurance.
  • Knowledge of modern data architectures, cloud services (Azure), real-time data processing (Kafka, Flink), and data warehouse tools (Snowflake, Databricks, OneLake).
  • Ability to work independently to provide data solutions for manufacturing environments
