  • Location: Houston, TX 77002 (Hybrid)
  • Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Mon-Thu onsite)

Raise is currently hiring a Power BI Developer team member on behalf of our client. They’re expanding their team to meet growing needs, making this a unique opportunity to work with an industry leader.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports that support business intelligence and strategic decision-making.
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications in collaboration with stakeholders and business partners.
  • Build and manage robust data models in Power BI, integrating data from various sources including Dataverse, SQL Server, and SharePoint.
  • Write complex DAX measures and calculated columns for advanced analytics.
  • Use Power Query for efficient data transformation, cleansing, and loading.
  • Optimize performance of Power BI dashboards and datasets, including query tuning and model efficiency.
  • Implement and manage Power BI governance, including row-level security and workspace/dataset permissions.
  • Monitor and maintain Power BI Service environments, ensuring reliable and secure access.
  • Present findings and dashboards to directors and senior stakeholders with clarity and confidence.
  • Engage in continuous improvement of analytics capabilities through feedback, iteration, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, including data modeling and report creation.
  • Proficiency in DAX and Power Query for advanced calculations and data transformation.
  • Experience with integrating data from multiple sources such as SQL Server, SharePoint, and Dataverse.
  • Strong knowledge of data architecture and modeling best practices.
  • Skilled in performance tuning and optimization for Power BI dashboards and datasets.
  • Experience implementing Power BI security standards, including row-level security.
  • Familiarity with workspace management in Power BI Service.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to engage stakeholders and support end-users.
  • Preferred: experience with SQL, APIs, Azure DevOps, Jira, Power Automate, and Power Platform CoE.
  • Understanding of UI/UX principles and data visualization best practices.
  • Self-starter mindset with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.
