Position: Power BI Developer

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Power BI Developer to join their team!

The Power BI Developer will have a strong background DAX and data modeling to help build various dashboards and visualizations for the company.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports tailored to business needs.
• Build and optimize robust data models using Power BI, including star/snowflake schemas and efficient data relationships.
• Write and troubleshoot complex DAX queries and calculations to support dynamic visualizations and KPIs.
• Collaborate with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders to gather and translate business requirements into scalable BI solutions.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple data sources.
• Optimize Power BI performance through effective model design, indexing strategies, and query tuning.
• Implement row-level security and role-based access as needed.
• Stay current with new Power BI features and best practices, and proactively recommend improvements.
• Document data sources, data models, and reporting logic for transparency and maintainability.
  
  

Required Qualifications & Experience

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development.
• Expert-level proficiency in DAX, including writing measures, calculated columns, and performance tuning.
• Strong understanding of data modeling principles and experience creating star/snowflake schemas in Power BI.
• Solid SQL skills for querying and transforming data from various relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Azure SQL, etc.).
• Experience connecting Power BI to multiple data sources including APIs, Excel, cloud storage, and enterprise databases.
• Familiarity with Power Query (M Language) for data transformation.
• Knowledge of BI and data visualization best practices.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
