As a Development Control Planner, you have an important role to analyse, evaluate and recommend development proposals for decision in a timely manner, taking into considerations planning policies, guidelines, context of the surrounding areas, site conditions and other agencies’ inputs. To do well in the job, you are expected to be familiar with the planning area you are assigned to, be comfortable with dealing with people, have eyes for details and good time management and deliver good public service.
What You Will Be Working On
You will be involved in
carrying out planning assessment of change of use proposals submitted by business operators/property owners.
Liaising with the applicants and other stakeholders to facilitate good planning outcomes for the area.
Conducting policy / work process review to achieve better planning outcomes
What We Are Looking For
A degree or postgraduate diploma in urban and regional planning, architecture, civil engineering, transport planning, environmental studies, building, real estate or geography.
Strong interest in the physical urban development of Singapore
Knowledge of BIM system will be an advantage
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Good writing and presentation skills
