Job Summary
Under general supervision, the permit coordinator is responsible for administrative duties, organizing, tracking, applying for and obtaining permits from various jurisdictions. This role involves providing information on permit requirements, assisting in scheduling inspections, internal and external coordination.
Essential Job Functions
Apply for permits through various jurisdictions
Acts as a liaison between customers, our team and the government building officials.
Review and verify permit applications for completeness and accuracy prior to submittal.
Assist customers with their understanding of the permitting & inspection process
Perform general clerical duties such as typing, filing, emailing and faxing.
Organize and track permits to ensure inspections are completed in a timely manner.
Manage permit expirations and renewals.
File proper paperwork required to obtain permits
Prepare reports on permit activity as requested
Maintain current and accurate records of permit activity
Verify and maintain paper and electronic file documents (permits, inspection reports, etc.) are added to the e-filing system and websites.
Answers general permit calls, emails and inquiries from customers
Completes all required Company training/compliance courses as assigned.
Adheres to Company standards and maintains compliance with all policies and procedures.
Perform related duties as assigned, within your scope of practice.
Education
High School diploma or equivalent required.
Experience
Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in Office, Clerical, Customer Service field.
This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment
Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of occasionally and/or minor amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.
No exposure to adverse environmental conditions (typical office/administrative setting).
