About The Role
As the Payroll Team Lead, you will be delivering payroll services to our corporate and operational sites throughout Australia whilst adhering to company and legislative requirements. You will be a proactive leader who drives innovation and improvement, with the ability to lead, coach and mentor others. You will maintain a strategic perspective, manage complex tasks, and achieve planned outcomes.
Key elements of the role include:
- Supervise and coordinate the Payroll team’s work and priorities to achieve agreed service levels and standards
- Leveraging your expertise in payroll legislation, superannuation, and the implementation of awards and Enterprise Agreements (EAs) to process payroll efficiently and accurately
- Partner with the Payroll Manager on building team capability development, and performance management
- Support the execution of People cyclical processes including salary review and incentive payments
- Assist the Payroll team with monthly, half yearly and yearly tasks, as and when required
- Responsible for the supervision and coordination of the monthly pay processing
About You
To be successful for this role, you will have:
- Demonstrated experience in a senior payroll officer or team lead position
- Ability to lead, coach and mentor others
- Excellent Excel knowledge and skills
- Solid knowledge of Australian payroll legislation, superannuation and the application of awards and EAs
- Previous experience working with SAP
- Proven ability to prioritise and organise your own and the team’s workload to meet deadlines
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
