Job Title: Payroll/Accounting Assistant

Job Description

This role is 100% onsite Monday-Friday 8am-5pm in Seattle, WA. The internal payroll team is looking for a detail-oriented professional to assist with payroll-related activities. Responsibilities include check disbursements, facilitating notarization of required documents, consolidating and tracking documents, and handling other ad hoc requests as needed. Successful candidates will have financial analysis/administration experience in payroll, audit, or finance, and possess excellent problem-solving abilities. You should be passionate about delivering timely solutions and contributing to the development of innovative, customer-centric programs and processes. Comfort with payroll/accounting tasks, identifying process improvements, and operating in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Handle check disbursements
  • Facilitate the notarization of required documents
  • Consolidate and track documents
  • Address ad hoc requests as needed
  • Identify process improvement opportunities
  • Operate independently and collaboratively with team members
  • Manage physical checks and large sums of money

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to define new processes, identify gaps, and implement solutions
  • Strong Excel and analytical skills

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Prior experience with payroll
  • Experience supporting medium to large size companies
  • Accounting/Finance background
  • Proficiency in Excel data entry and pivot tables

Work Environment

This position is 100% onsite. The role involves heavy data entry and administrative tasks related to payroll. You will manage some physical checks and handle very large sums of money. This is a great opportunity for an entry-level candidate to develop their skill set and gain valuable experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
