The Accounting Manager will have the focus area of payroll and is responsible for developing and maintaining accurate and timely accounting and financial principles, practices and procedures for monthly, quarterly and annual reporting, as well as oversight of quarterly and annual payroll taxes and reconciliations related to payroll and benefits.
Responsible for managing a team of accounting professionals to develop and administer the accounting systems, practices and controls of acceptable accounting processes.
Maintains a thorough understanding of financial reporting and general ledger structure.
Achieves accounting objectives by contributing accounting information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
Manages and reviews all payroll and benefits balance sheet accounts for US entities.
Reviews and maintains multi-state quarterly and annual taxes as well as approves tax payments to ensure no payments are missed, payments are prepared accurately, on time and no penalties are assessed.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of all monthly, quarterly and year-end financial information.
Collaborate with other finance department managers to support overall department goals and objectives.
Monitor and analyze department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Assist in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls.
Provides training to new and existing staff as needed.
Analyzes complex financial reports and records.
Directs internal and external audits to ensure compliance is being met consistently.
