Job Description

We are seeking a talented and dynamic Pastry Sous Chef to join our esteemed culinary team. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for pastry arts, a keen eye for detail, and proven experience in high-end hotel environments or well-established Restaurants. You will assist in leading the pastry brigade, ensuring the delivery of exquisite desserts, bread, and other baked goods that meet the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Pastry Chef in managing daily pastry operations
  • Oversee the preparation and presentation of all desserts, pastries, breads, and confectionery items
  • Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and hygiene in the pastry kitchen
  • Train and mentor junior pastry staff, fostering a positive and creative work environment
  • Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menus that cater to international tastes
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control for pastry ingredients and supplies

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience as a Pastry Sous Chef or similar role in luxury hotels or fine dining establishments
  • International experience highly preferred, with exposure to diverse culinary traditions
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Creative flair with a passion for pastry arts and innovation
  • Knowledge of current culinary trends and techniques in pastry and baking
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment
  • Formal culinary education or relevant certifications
