Position Overview

We are seeking an entry- to mid-level Operations Analyst to support our operations team with data-driven insights and reporting. This role is vital in producing, improving, and maintaining reports that drive operational performance and provide key metrics for decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a focus on accuracy and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Report Production & Maintenance:
    • Branch Evaluation Program – Data compilation, organization, analysis, metric tracking, packet distribution, monthly and yearly aggregation.
    • Customer Experience Program - Data compilation, organization, analysis, and troubleshooting. Semi-annual and yearly aggregation.
    • Margin Variance Analysis – Production and distribution of reports to give actionable intelligence to associates in the field.
    • Weekly Overtime Report – Compilation of operational data and trends.
    • Ad Hoc Data Requests – Compilation of operational data and reports on an ad hoc basis to various departments including, Sales, Branch Support, Purchasing, Pricing, and Operations.
    • Project Status Communications – Communicating with various stakeholders regarding process improvement and other projects.
    • Data Analysis & Insights:


    • Provide timely analysis to inform decisions related to inventory, sales, and operational performance.
    • Collaborate with various teams to identify data-driven solutions for business challenges.
    • Process Improvement:


    • Collaborate with the Business Intelligence team to streamline data gathering process.
    • Identify and implement ways to improve report production efficiency and data accuracy.
Skills, Qualifications, And Experience

  • Proficient in Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and SQL with strong technical and analytical skills.
  • Experienced in data analysis and reporting, with 1-3 years in relevant roles; experience in Finance/Audit or Branch Operations is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a focus on turning data into actionable insights.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with Operations leadership, BI, IT, and other key stakeholders.
  • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Highly adaptable, proactive, and capable of thriving in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or in a team environment as needed.
  • Self-motivated with a positive attitude and a strong commitment to achieving results.

  • Attention to detail.

Work Environment

This role is performed by working from the Lansing Home Office. While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be asked to perform assessments that take place in a branch environment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday during Branch hours of operation.

Travel

10% travel is required. The job requires being on site, in Branches, on a reoccurring basis.
