A Boston-based investment firm with approximately $11 billion in assets under management is seeking a detail-oriented and team-focused Operations Analyst to join its high-performing Operations team. The firm manages diversified portfolios across public and private markets, including alternative strategies, with a strong emphasis on risk-adjusted returns and investment excellence.


About the Role:

As an Operations Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting all operational aspects of complex investment portfolios, including marketable securities (stocks, bonds, futures, options, OTC trades, FX) and alternative assets (hedge funds, private equity, venture capital, real assets, and co-investments). This position offers broad exposure, collaboration with internal teams, and daily interaction with external counterparties and service providers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily securities pricing and valuation
  • Cash and position reconciliation
  • Processing swap resets and cash flows
  • Managing OTC collateral and variation margin
  • Handling corporate actions, proxy voting, and dividends
  • Security setup, transaction processing, and trade settlement
  • Fund expense calculations and allocation
  • Coordinating with fund administrators and counterparties to resolve operational issues
  • Assisting with process improvements and special projects


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Finance
  • 4–8 years of investment operations experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
  • Experience with systems like Advent Geneva, Tamale, Bloomberg, and fund administrators is a plus
  • Strong project management and process improvement mindset
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to work collaboratively
