Summary

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT System Administrator, or in a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in network operations and data communications.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience with network multilayered OSS, network design, and network security.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with Enterprise Networking for e.g. L3 Routing, Switching (CISCO) SD WAN and Security (eg FW).
  • Experience with Network Operations, OSS Systems, Software implementations and lifecycle management.
  • Experience with data communications protocols, Data Network design, Open Network protocols, models and strategies.
  • Familiarity with software/coding, operating systems, database structure and related experiences.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. In this role, you will build, operate and promote global infrastructure to support Google Global Networking growth and open networking objectives. This organisation will require dedicated operations program to help define, design and deploy resources towards a cohesive and coordinated plan embedded within the Google Global Networking and wider Google Cloud division. The development will bring significant new resources into Google, stimulate slick, simplistic governance and drive a talent development program to ensure adequate succession planning and career development in this unique and specific part of the business.Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. Responsibilities

  • Review Design, Implement and Operationally manage Google Submarine Networks (GSN) Layer 2-3 IP Secure Data Communications Network (DCN) and Operational Support Systems (OSS) and Cloud based applications and systems.
  • Work with stakeholders, supporting Global Submarine Networks (GSN), Network Operations center (NOC) to develop systems operating processes in addition to the lifecycle management of the hardware and software elements incorporate into the OSS/DCN and maintain its functional capabilities, upgrade's, enhancements.
  • Work with user groups, access Security, Engineering, Software teams, suppliers to develop improvements/innovation/improved processes in OSS usability and performance.
  • Work with technology suppliers, security, risk and compliance teams to ensure Google maintains the highest levels of reliability in respect of Operating Systems and Network.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot network and OSS systems performance, Implement Service Performance Measures and Service Performance Analysis.
