Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Network Operations Support Engineer to join our IT team.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network operations support with a strong focus on Cisco firewalls and other security technologies This role involves managing and maintaining network security infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and security
Key Responsibilities:
- Network Operations Support Provide operational support for network infrastructure including monitoring troubleshooting and resolving network issues
- Firewall Management Configure manage and maintain Cisco firewalls to ensure network security and compliance with company policies
- Security Technologies Implement and manage other security technologies such as intrusion prevention systems IPS VPNs and secure access solutions
- Configuration and Deployment Configure and deploy network devices and security solutions ensuring compliance with company standards
- Performance Monitoring Monitor network performance and security and implement improvements as needed
- Incident Response Respond to network security incidents and provide timely resolution to minimize impact
- User Support
- Provide support to endusers for networkrelated issues
- Assist users with connectivity and access issues
- Conduct training sessions and create user guides to help users understand and effectively use network solutions
- Policy Enforcement Develop and enforce policies related to network security usage and compliance
- Collaboration Work closely with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of network infrastructure within the organization
- Documentation Maintain detailed documentation of network configurations policies and procedures
Qualifications:
Experience 6-8 years of experience in network operations support with a focus on Cisco firewalls and other security technologies
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of Cisco firewall configuration management and troubleshooting
- Proficiency in using Cisco ASA Firepower and other Cisco security solutions
- Experience with network security technologies such as IPS VPNs and secure access solutions
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds Nagios or PRTG
- Understanding of network protocols and VPN configurations
- Experience with performance monitoring and optimization tools
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell for automation
- Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards eg GDPR HIPAA
- Familiarity with Active Directory and Azure Active Directory integration
- Experience with network design and architecture
- Proficiency in using tools like Wireshark for network analysis and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of cloud networking solutions such as AWS Azure or Google Cloud
- Security Understanding of security best practices for network operations and experience implementing security policies
- ProblemSolving Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex technical issues
- Communication Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical users
- Team Player Ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
