Performs operational tasks as scheduled or requested by customers in a 24/7 data center environment. Communicate with various support groups and vendors to resolve and prevent issues. Analyze alarm conditions presented by multiple monitoring tools. Utilize the remedy ticketing system to track ongoing issues and service requests through to completion. What you will do Monitor networking systems for alerts. Escalate and communicate issues as defined by polices and escalation procedures. Respond to customer requests in a timely manner. Interact with Infrastructure and Application groups to resolve customer issues. Ensure physical data centers are monitored for environmental issues and hardware alerts. Education Qualifications Associate's Degree Information Technology Associate's Degree Engineering Bachelor's Degree Information Technology Experience Qualifications 3-5 years Computer-related field Substitution: High School Diploma with seven (7) years of experience in lieu education requirements Skills and Abilities Basic system maintenance and troubleshooting skills. Ability to consistently demonstrate verbal and written skills when communicating with customers. Ability to collaborate with others to utilize resources and knowledge in identifying high quality solutions. Ability to facilitate and moderate a conference bridge between customers, technical resources and/or vendors. Supervision Provided by this Position No supervisory responsibilities may provide guidance and acts as a resource to other NOC Associates. Acts as the Situation Manager during system outages. Physical Demands The physical requirements of this position are: light work – lifting up to 50 lbs occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs frequently. The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading. Exposure to high noise levels and adverse environmental conditions. Job functions are typically performed under conditions found in a data center.
