Position Summary: We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Operations Technician to join our 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC). This role plays a critical part in maintaining the reliability and performance of our satellite and IP-based communications infrastructure. You'll be responsible for real-time network monitoring, customer support, incident response, and routine maintenance of technical systems. This position requires schedule flexibility, including availability for weekday shifts (8:00 AM - 4:00 PM), and occasional weekends, holidays, and on-call support. Key Responsibilities and Essential Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. * Monitor satellite and IP network performance to ensure uptime and reliability. * Identify and respond to alerts, interference issues, and anomalies across communication systems. * Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues involving satellite uplinks, RF systems, and IP networks. * Communicate with customers to address service interruptions, equipment malfunctions, or technical inquiries. * Maintain accurate logs, service tickets, incident reports, and documentation. * Perform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and hardware installations. * Support business continuity planning and implementation efforts. * Collaborate on network design enhancements and service improvement initiatives. * Maintain detailed technical documentation and internal knowledge base * Participate in ongoing training and development, including certification opportunities through CBC University. Required Qualifications: * Experience in a technical network role working with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools. * Strong understanding of networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP, and demonstrated knowledge of firewalls, switches, routers, and network infrastructure. * Demonstrated hardware, software, and network troubleshooting skills. * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a solid team-oriented mindset. * Good problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure, exhibiting intuitive problem-solving ability. * Strong organizational skills and the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently. * Ability to take initiative and use creative thinking to address and solve business problems. * Proven excellence in Customer Service support environments. Preferred Qualifications: * Previous experience in a Network Operations Center (NOC) * Exposure to or experience with: * Satellite communications and earth station systems * VSAT, RF, or FCC licensing * A/V systems and structured cabling * Systems administration or scripting * IP streaming and content delivery technologies Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. * Able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. * Perform physical tasks such as bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, lifting, seeing, hearing, and typing.
