Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the organization's data center networking.
  • Deploy, configure, and update network equipment, including switches and firewalls.
  • Monitor network performance, detect bottlenecks or connectivity issues, and implement necessary solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network security, data integrity, and compliance with industry best practices and regulations.

System Administration

  • Administer and uphold the organization's data center servers, virtualization clusters, and operating systems.
  • Conduct regular system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Install, configure, and upgrade server hardware, software, and related components.
  • Implement and maintain network security measures, encompassing firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and security audits to identify and address potential risks.
  • Stay updated on the latest security threats and industry trends, proactively recommending and implementing security enhancements.

Qualifications

  • Over 3 years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer/Infrastructure Engineer.
  • Extensive background in large-scale network engineering environments, including ISPs and Cloud Providers.
  • Proven track record with networking technologies and protocols such as TCP/IP, LAN, NAT, VPN, DNS, and DHCP.
  • In-depth expertise in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) with over 3 years of experience in routing, peering, and troubleshooting.
  • Well-versed in firewall administration, encompassing configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of appliances like Checkpoint and Pfsense, with a solid 3-year background.
  • Over 3 years of proficient Linux system administration experience.
  • Extensive familiarity with Network Automation, Configuration Management, and IaC tools such as Napalm, Netbox, Ansible, Terraform, etc.
  • Over 3 years of hands-on experience with observability and monitoring systems like SNMP, DataDog, Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
  • 2 years of practical involvement in Virtualization/Private Cloud environments, including Proxmox, ESXI, Openstack, and Hyper-V.
  • Over 3 years of experience with storage networking protocols like iSCSI, Fibre Channel, or Network-Attached Storage (NAS).
  • Proficient in high availability concepts and implementation, including redundancy, failover, and load balancing technologies.
  • Skilled in scripting with Bash, Python, or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with virtualized and containerized environments, including ECS/Kubernetes.
