Network Engineer - High-Frequency Trading - Shanghai

A leading high-frequency trading firm is based in Shanghai is seeking an adept Network Engineer to help maintain and optimize their low-latency network infrastructure, help deploy network and datacenter hardware, and develop and implement innovative new automation solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Support high-frequency trading network infrastructure (troubleshoot and resolve incidents)
• Develop automation solutions to reduce manual workloads
• Support end-to-end infrastructure deployments across data centers and global WAN environments
• Assisting with planned upgrades (migrations, expansions, hardware, and software upgrades)
• Maintain the availability and reliability of WAN networks across data centers and colocations
• Support capacity planning, connectivity improvements, and traffic flow optimization
• Help research and implement new cutting-edge technologies
• Help standardize environments with infrastructure-as-code (Ansible)

Requirements:

• 5+ years of working experience supporting Network operations
• Strong knowledge of network performance, monitoring, and capacity planning
• Experience in monitoring, debugging, troubleshooting, and resolving issues arising in international LAN/ WANs
• Strong knowledge of network transport and routing protocols (TCP/UDP, OSPF, BGP, Multicast)
• Experience working in multi-vendor environments (Cisco, Arista, Palo Alto)
• Experience with firewalls and network security
• Familiar with Unix systems and data center management
