Network Engineer SD-WAN | MAF Retail | Head Office Egypt

Role Summary

The Network Engineer is responsible for providing an in depth, proactive and reactive analysis of Network Operations to improve efficiency, productivity and customer satisfaction. The role holder is also responsible for overseeing the security, system maintenance and operational effectiveness of network and telecom systems at Majid Al Futtaim Retail.

ROLE PROFILE

• Provide configurations for all layers of network, maintenance and troubleshooting of network routers, switches, Access point, firewalls and SD-WAN solutions like Meraki and use all utilize network tools like PRTG, SolarWinds, Qualys .
• Oversee the troubleshooting network problems and outages, schedule upgrades, collaborate with network architects on network optimization.
• Monitor the backup of all network devices quarterly.
• Manage and upgrade the network systems and identify and deploy appropriate network device software upgrades.
• Oversee the monitoring of network system by establishing and enforcing policies on different layers of security.
• Review existing support information for existing network infrastructure and maintain a record of maintenance activity.
• Monitor network systems problems in order to recommend short/long term solutions and alternatives .
• Proactively identify and seek professional development opportunity's to improve leadership and technical skills pertaining to the direct line of work.
  
  

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of experience in a similar function
• Strong business communication and presentation skills .
• Good problem solving skills.
• Must have previous experience working with SD-WAN technology.
