Position Overview
As a Network Functions QA Engineer, you'll specialize in testing network operations across layers L0-L3, validating router configurations through our workflow engine, and ensuring proper network resource placement and management. You'll work in complex virtual and physical network environments to validate that our technology properly configures, manages, and optimizes network functions.
Key Responsibilities
Test network service placement logic and execution across distributed environments
Validate router configuration workflows from inventory to deployment
Verify proper Netconf integration for network device configuration
Create test scenarios that cover complete network operational flows
Test network resource discovery and management functions
Ensure proper integration between network inventory and configuration systems
Document and track network-related issues through resolution
Participate in test planning for network function releases
Requirements
3+ years of experience in QA with focus on networking
Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (IP/ARP/MAC/DHCP/VLAN/ICMP/Dynamic Routing)
Experience testing network equipment or network automation solutions
In-depth knowledge of Linux with testing experience
Familiarity with Netconf and network configuration management
Understanding of containerization technologies (Docker/Kubernetes)
Experience with distributed systems in network environments
Preferred Skills
Python scripting for test automation
Experience with software-defined networking (SDN)
Knowledge of workflow engines in network orchestration
Familiarity with network simulation tools
Experience with gRPC in networking contexts
